Anna is the name we’ve given to a student we’ll never forget.

She represents the kind of student many of us have encountered—the one we all wanted to support better, but couldn’t. Not because we didn’t care, but because we were stretched thin, under-resourced, and overwhelmed.

Anna is a tribute to every educator who has worn too many hats in a single day—counsellor, nurse, social worker, substitute, admin—and still showed up with heart. It’s for the moments when you needed someone to tag in, just for an hour, so you could breathe, eat, or use the bathroom. It’s for every time you thought, “If only I had the right tools, or someone to help me figure this out.”

We built Anna because we don’t want teachers to keep carrying everything alone. And, as ex-educators ourselves here, we know searching through your school board’s services can be time-consuming and taxing, when you just want one place to find what you need.

We believe that when educators are supported, everyone benefits—students, schools, and communities. Anna is our way of honouring that belief, and the teachers who live it every day.
